The Ford Fiesta Movement: What is it?

The Ford Fiesta will be returning to Ford’s automobile line-up in early 2010, as a 2011 model car and Ford is harnessing the power of social media and consumer participation to promote the return. The Ford Fiesta Movement is a promotion by Ford that asks people across the country to submit a 2-5 minute video explaining why they should be a participating driver in the Ford Fiesta Movement. The video should be uploaded to your YouTube account, tagged with the term “fiestamovement” and then submitted as a link through the Ford Fiesta Movement application available at the Ford Fiesta Movement Homepage linked above.

Bartlesville, Are You Signed Up?

There are presently 16 days left to submit your video and become one of the Ford Fiesta Movement Drivers. If you think you have the personality, the video skills, and the look they might be looking for, submit your application and let’s try to get someone from the Bartlesville or Tulsa area, or at least from Oklahoma, selected as one of the drivers.

Ford Fiesta Movement Selection Criteria

From the homepage of the Ford Fiesta Movement, Ford states they are looking for “an elite crop of drivers to take the wheel” describing what they are looking for as “people with a strong presence on the web, an ability to craft a compelling story through video, and a hunger for adventure.”

They also list the videos below as a few of their favorites, so watching them might help to get an idea of the kind of personality they are looking for.

What Do Ford Fiesta Movement Winners Do?

According to Ford those selected will be handed the keys to a brand new 2011 Ford Fiesta to drive for six months. Ford says they will pay for gas and insurance for this period as well. The Driver will then receive “monthly secret assignments” from Ford Mission Control and be sent to “places you’ve never been, to meet people you’ve never met, and to experiences you’ll never forget”.

Bartlesville, Tulsa, Oklahoma: Give Us a Link

If you are from the area, or live anywhere in Oklahoma, post a link to your video in the comments section so readers can go and give it some vote and comment love at YouTube. Let’s try to give a few Oklahoma videos (Bartlesville ones would be great) a little publicity and get them noticed by those at Ford who are making the selections.

Remember, there are only a few days left. Think up those videos film them post them and give us the link. Let’s so how creative Oklahomans can be.
