The 2010 Ford Taurus Secret
January 11, 2009 by Brad - Your Car Guy
Few cars in recent years have been as anticipated as the 2010 Ford Taurus.
Well, the anticipation is over.
The Detroit auto show has officially begun and the new 2010 Ford taurus has had its unveiling. For anyone who has not seen the car yet, here is a look at what promises to be as return to the glory days of the Ford Taurus. Videos on the 2010 Taurus are scarce. The video below that I posted is NOT a talkie. But if you just want to kick back and for one minute and 30 seconds enjoy the great styling that the Ford engineers put into this vehicle, believe me you will not waste your time. This is a pretty car from any angle.
Wow…is an Under-Statement
Well, it certainly has the style to recapture mass appeal. First blurbs coming out of the car show are highly positive as well. With an exterior featuring a revised three bar grill bordered by long narrow headlights, a trunk with a slightly duck-tailed profile, and a flatter roof line that gives the new version a squatter appearance than its predecessor, the 2010 model sees changes to every segment of the car.

I’ve also heard reporting of an interior that has the look and feel of a much more expensive car, featuring soft touch materials and rich leathers, as well as tons of room both passenger and trunk wise.

As Soon as the Tarp Came Off I Wondered (is it a Benz?)
Then there is the area where Ford is really pulling away from the competition; technology. The 2010 Taurus will be a technology showplace featuring keyless entry, push button start, SYNC (of course), Blind Information and Cross Traffic Alert systems to keep Taurus driver’s safe from even the things they can’t see, voice activated nav system and the new Adaptive Cruise Control to automatically maintain a safe cruising distance.

Yeah, this sucker looks to have all the bells and whistles. i’m not a betting man, but if I were, I’d say this Taurus has great odds of being a sure winner.
I’ll try to post a more thorough review of this car as more informastion as to engine options and such becomes available. Until then enjoy the pictures and video and leave a comment with your impressions of the all new 2010 Ford Taurus.
