Bartlesville, Get in the Know with Ford Digiknows
I wrote a a blog post a couple of days ago to urge a Bartlesville driver or two to enter Ford’s Fiesta Movement. Well, today I’m back with another way that Bartlesville Tulsa and Oklahoma residents can get personally involved with Ford. If you have an internet connection then you have a line straight to the people who develop Ford products to let them know what it is that is important to you. Its called Ford DigiKnows.
Ford Digiknows is a weekly live streaming video event produced by Ford that allows you to talk with the experts from Ford while they give you an up close and personal tour of all the innovative new technologies Ford has to offer. The host of the weekly event, Emmy award winning radio and television news anchor and Detroit native Michael Collins, takes you behind the scenes of the Ford Motor Company and lets you be among the first to see and discuss everything that is today’s Ford.
During the webcast Michael Collins interviews Ford engineers developers and a host of other employees about brand new Ford technologies and allows you to become a part of the discussion by taking questions directly from you and other participants viewing the webcast all across the nation. So now, even though you are here in Bartlesville and miles away from Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan headquarters you can get involved and provide Ford with feedback and consumer opinion that could help to determine the way future technologies will be developed.
Ford Digiknows Debut Episode
The first Ford DigiKnows event was broadcast on February 24th and covered a technology called MyKey which will be available on all Ford products by the 2012 model year. This product will come as standard equipment on every vehicle Ford sells and will provide parents with a means to limit things like vehicle speed and stereo volume while their teenagers are on the roads. For the concerned parent this technology is the next best thing to being in the passenger seat. To view video of the broadcast you can either go to Ford DigiKnows homepage or to Ford Digiknows YouTube channel. Here’s a sample of what the first episode contains.
Bartlesville, Tune in Tomorrow
The next webcast will be tomorrow, March 3rd, at 11 a.m. central time. All you Bartlesville and Tulsa Ford fans be sure to tune in and get the scoop, as well as ask questions and offer opinions, on the episodes topic “Can a Car Teach You to Drive More Fuel Efficiently?” I would almost bet you it will have something to do with the upcoming 2010 Ford Fusion’s Smart Gauge with Eco-Guide. Just follow one of the links provided in this post to check it out live.
Let’s all help Ford to make the best vehicles possible and inturn help ourselves to the vehicles we really want. Tune in and let Ford know what Oklahomans are looking for.
Until tomorrow, have a great day!
