Ford Trucks 2009 Towing Options

Why Ford is Your Best Bet
Whether you are a small businessman hauling equipment to the job site, a camper taking the family on a summer vacation, or a sportsman pulling your boat or ATV out for a weekend with your buddies, you know the importance of a good towing vehicle. Towing with a vehicle not up to the job can be a nerve-wracking and dangerous experience. And, if its a good new or pre-owned towing vehicle you’re looking for, in my opinion, you can’t find anything better than a reliable Ford.
Ford Towing Trucks
When it comes to towing vehicles, Ford has the qualities you’re looking for. With a variety of trucks that can easily and dependably handle towing, without forfeiting comfort, you’re sure to find the vehicle that meets your specific towing needs. The E-series trucks, the F-150, the Ford Ranger, and the Super Duty Ford Truck all stand ready to do the job, whatever your towing needs may be.
Towing With a Ford SUV or Crossover
Ford also has a line of capable and durable SUV’s. Between the Escape, the Expedition, the Explorer, and the Sport Trac you are bound to find one that suits your towing and transportation purposes. All four of these SUV’s are equipped with plenty of power and extra cooling system features that can handle any towing job, long or short, while also providing loads of spacious comfort for a family of four or more. Or, if you’d rather have a crossover vehicle, the Ford Edge and the Taurus X can also be used for towing. Both are four door vehicles that provide you with a fuel efficient solution to your towing needs.
Outfitting Ford Cars For Towing
The Mustang and the Taurus are two cars which are also suited for some light towing. However, these cars may need some adjustment to their cooling and braking systems to accomplish long term towing, so make sure you talk to your Ford dealer about capacities and required equipment for the type of towing loads and durations you are expecting. Of course, many of the Ford trucks and SUV’s come equipped with towing wiring and heavy duty towing equipment but, otherwise, your dealership will be able to properly prepare your vehicle for towing.
Get The Right Ford For The Job
Its also important, in addition to selecting the right towing vehicle, that consumers make sure the trailer is up to the task of the towing job. All trailers should have the proper safety chains and be equipped with trailer lamps that are in good working order. Many states also require additional braking systems for trailer towing. Making sure you have a good towing vehicle is only half the job in making sure you are performing your towing jobs safely.
If you are in the market for a safe, comfortable, dependable towing vehicle call me. I’ll be more than happy to show you the quality vehicles Ford has to offer.

Another great truck for working and towing is the Ford F-650. Its huge! and considered Ford’s super truck. Another good work truck is the 550, its more of a commercial truck.
