My Sales Consultant Has Answered and Clarified all of my Questions:
Yes or No

My Biggest Concern is:

This is how to use this checklist. After you have done your initial research on line, call a dealership and make an appointment. Making an appointment will save you time, money and energy. Here’s why.

An appointment in a professional dealership is taken very seriously. In 9 out of 10 cases you will get preferential treatment. No different than making a reservation at a 5 star restaurant instead of just walking in and casually announcing “do you have a table for 5?”

During your initial meeting with your sales consultant go over exactly what type of car you are interested in and What research you have done. During this “Discovery Pow-Wow” your sales consultant should ask you a few relevant questions to clarify exactly what your interests are. These questions will help the sales consultant help you find the right car for your needs, wants and budget.

The next step in the car buying process will be the sales-consultant will show you a couple of car models. These car models should match up with your needs assessment. If not make sure to point it out. This step is referred to as the Product Presentation/Product Demonstration part of the buying process.

This is where you use this checklist to save you time money and energy. So make sure to bring the checklist with you to the dealership for your appointment. In this list Safety, Performance, Appearance, Comfort, Economy, Dependability and Warranty are the major purchase decision categories.

Every buyer weighs in on these categories. All buyers are different. What is important to one family is not important to another. So use the list to rate each category on a 1 to 10 scale. This will tell you what is important to you. It will also help you crystallize the one or two categories or features that will make up 90% of whether you will buy a car form this dealer or not.

Remember though, if the salesperson cannot answer your questions clearly and convincingly, you are in the wrong dealership. It is time to leave.

Never buy a car when you are in doubt.

If there is no doubt it is time to buy. You have found the right car and the right sales-consultant. Now its time to enjoy.
