It is still the powerful American piece of machinery that is known for its high quality. But the new design of the 2010 Ford Taurus has brought a lot of updated style to the table. Ford’s North American design director put it like this, “Like the 1986 original, the new 2010 Taurus differentiates by combining style with substance.” This is actually a great way to describe the 2010 model as its style is one that screams class and desire, but it is the substance that will bring the buyers back.

Ford Taurus Coming Out Party

With their goal of having the Taurus become the new personal luxury sedan by Ford, this bold American company has surely gone above and beyond and given the consumer just what they are looking for. Currently, there is a SE and SEL trim levels to be offered to the public and coming soon is an EcoBoost model that is more performance oriented. The official announcement from Ford on when this model will become available should be coming soon, so those who are interested should keep their ears open.

The 2010 Ford Taurus comes…..

…… with a respectably long list of features such as Intelligent Access with Push Button Start, Blind Spot Information System, Rain Sensing Wipers, Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning, MyKey parental programmability, and EasyFuel capless refueling. One thing that consumers will not be seeing from the 2010 Ford Taurus is they will not be offering the Mercury Sable version, which has always accompanied the Taurus since 1986.

The Best Part is the Price

As for pricing, with all of the options, style, class, and dependability you may be surprised to hear that the 2010 Ford Taurus will start at $25,995 which is no change from the previous year’s model. The SEL version will start at $27,995 while consumers can pay $31,995 for the top-ended Limited edition. Being there are so many extra features in this newly designed Taurus it is truly more than a little surprising that it is holding on to this pricietag. This is a good thing though, as this means that you are getting a much better car then what came out one year previous and you are not being charged an arm and a leg for it.

A Six on the Floor….(Remember the 4 on the Floor?)

This six speed automatic transmission is one that can be upgraded into a manual shift in the SEL and limited trim levels. There are also a number of safety and technological features that are getting a lot of people excited. The exterior is something that is surely grabbing a lot of attention but if you saw this car at the auto show you know that with rich leathers and gadgets galore the interior certainly makes statements of its own.
