Proud to be Bartlesville’s Ford Dealer
The Doenges name has been associated with Ford in Bartlesville for many years now and it is an association I could not be prouder of. Though there is surely a feeling of pride that comes from owning your own business no matter what the product I, as a Ford dealer, consider myself extremely lucky to be representing a product with such a rich and illustrious history. When you sell Fords you can always rest assured that you are supplying the public with a high quality product.

2009 Toyota Avalon; #1 Affordable Large Sedan
The Toyota Avalon may not be the first car most people think of when they are asked to name a great large sedan. However, according to U.S. News and World Report, it probably should be.
In this year’s rankings U.S. News and World Report have the 2009 Toyota Avalon ranked as the number one affordable large car. So, apparently there are a lot of reviewers who consider the Avalon to be the tops in its class. Maybe this car deserves more attention than it gets.

Which Ford or Toyota Vehicle is Right for Me?
Not long ago I wrote an article entitled “15 Things to Do Before You Buy a Car” to give readers an overview of all the things they needed to consider and research before actually making a trip to the dealer lot to purchase a new car, truck, SUV or crossover vehicle. Among the fifteen items were a couple dealing with selecting the actual vehicle that is right for you. Since the article was an overview of the many things you need to do, I did not go into detail as to how to actually decide which vehicle is right for you. That’s where today’s post comes in.

Why the $5,000 Car Rebate is Bad Business
March 16, 2009 by Brad - Your Car Guy · Comments Off
A Rebate on a Ferrari. Rolls Royce or Bentley? You Have To be Kidding Me!!!
Have you ever heard of a rebate on a Ferrari, Rolls Royce or Bentley? Give me a break! And that is not supposed to be a pun. But really where did all of these rebates originate?
Before I reveal the origin of rebates first let me tell you what goes through my mind when I hear “$5,000.00 Rebate”. It is my belief that the manufacturer has over priced the vehicle by five thousand dollars to begin with. Why didn’t the manufacturer just drop the price to the dealer by $5,000 when they sold them the vehicle?
By the way, you may not be aware of this; but when the manufacturer sells one of their factory fresh automobiles to your local home town dealer they sell the vehicle to them for full price! There is no negotiation! There is no dickering! It can be said with authority that the dealer pays full list price from the manufacturer for every car they purchase. True statement.

5 Easy Steps To Improve Your Trade In Value
March 11, 2009 by Brad - Your Car Guy · Comments Off
Trade In Value Complaints
Being in the car business here in Bartlesville for as long as my family has, I have probably heard at one time or another, just about every complaint an auto consumer might have. And, as a community and service minded business man, I take every complaint I hear seriously. Though it may sometimes be difficult to hear people complain about something you are so proud of, it is only through listening to customer feedback that we are able to build the best dealership possible.
Of all the complaints I’ve heard in the car business the one heard most often, not specifically here at my Bartlesville dealership but at auto dealerships across the country, is that the consumer feels they do not get enough for their trade in. When people trade in their car towards the purchase of another new or used car or truck they often feel that the value of their trade as estimated by the dealership, is much less than the car is actually worth. There are a number of reasons why this is the case.

Ford Eco-Boost Technology
March 9, 2009 by Brad - Your Car Guy · 4 Comments
What is Eco-Boost?
A couple of days ago I received an e-mail from a reader who had read a recent post I wrote on the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. The reader noticed the use of the term Eco-boost when referring to the SHO’s V6 powerplant and was wondering what the term denoted. So, for those of you who may be wondering this as well, I though with today’s post I’d focus a little more on Ford’s Eco-boost.
If you are a Ford consumer, Eco-Boost is a term you will probably be hearing a lot in coming years. Aside from the Taurus SHO Ford vehicles like the F-150, Mustang, Ford Fusion, and Lincoln MKS will offer an Eco-Boost option in coming models. But what does Eco-Boost mean?
